Where do the results and scores come from?
AniList is the primary catalogue; Jikan/MyAnimeList is the backup. Scores are source-specific, shown on a ten-point scale, and are not combined. Cached or bundled data may be older than live catalogue data.
Is the tool free, and what happens if a catalogue is unavailable?
It is free and requires no account. Cached or bundled candidates are used when live requests fail. Narrow conditions can return fewer candidates or no matches; they are not silently expanded to unrelated titles.
How results are selected
AniList is the primary catalogue; Jikan/MyAnimeList is the backup. Scores remain source-specific and use a ten-point scale. Open a profile to check its latest details.
The tool samples a limited candidate pool, then chooses uniformly among its visible entries. It does not sample every title or character in the world. Shuffle changes the pool; another spin uses the same pool.
Live requests have a deadline. Cached or bundled data can be older, and narrow filters may return fewer results or no matches. Missing episode counts and runtimes are unknown, not zero.
