A 20-minute exercise you can repeat
Spend 2 minutes studying the reference and identifying three recognisable shapes. Spend 5 minutes on a silhouette, 8 minutes on a new pose or expression, then 5 minutes comparing your sketch with the reference. The timing is a suggested practice format, not a measured learning claim.
Try these constraints on the character you draw: a side profile; the same face with a surprised expression; a pose carrying an umbrella; a silhouette with no interior lines. Choose one constraint per session.
Choose a general pool or a series cast
The character generator draws from a limited favourites-ranked catalogue sample. Series wheels use the selected anime entry’s credited cast; a particular season may omit characters introduced later.
The tool returns existing characters and profile links. It does not create an original character, invent a name or generate an illustration. Gender, hero/villain role and hair colour are not filters on the general character wheel. If those are essential, prepare your own approved reference shortlist.
Use references responsibly
Open the source profile to identify the character and series, then use a suitable reference for your study. The site does not grant rights to character designs or artwork. For commissions or commercial work, confirm the rights and permissions relevant to your use.
For a group drawing challenge, generate a 3–5 character team and agree whether everyone draws one member or the full team. Team members are distinct within that draw, but can return in a later draw.
