Random Character Generator
This generator returns real anime characters rather than invented ones, which makes it useful for art prompts, quizzes and fan games where people need to recognise the name.
About this random character generator
The roster comes from MyAnimeList favourites, so it spans decades of series. Spin once for a prompt, or ten times to build a bracket. Every result links to a full profile. Results link straight to each character's MyAnimeList profile, so you can go from name to backstory in one click. If the first pick does not appeal, use the filter panel under the wheel to steer the pool, then spin again — repeats cost nothing.

Frequently asked questions
Are the scores and episode counts up to date?
Data is fetched live per session from MyAnimeList, so airing shows update as new information is published. Results also cache briefly so repeat spins stay fast.
Can I filter what appears on the random character generator?
Yes. Below the wheel you can narrow the pool by genre, type (TV, movie, OVA), minimum score and airing status before you spin.
Why do some results repeat between spins?
Each spin draws from a curated sample of popular titles. Press "Change Items" for a fresh sample, or use the filters to widen the pool.
