Anime Backlog Picker
A picker that attacks your plan-to-watch backlog one spin at a time.
About this anime backlog picker
Build the pool from titles you actually plan to watch, then spin to pick the next one. The first result is the one. Every result card includes the score, year, synopsis and a trailer, plus links to MyAnimeList and a where-to-watch search. If the first pick does not appeal, use the filter panel under the wheel to steer the pool, then spin again — repeats cost nothing.
How to use it
- 1
Load the wheel
The wheel fills automatically with live MyAnimeList data. Use “Shuffle the wheel” for a fresh sample.
- 2
Spin
Press spin. The winner is drawn uniformly at random before the animation finishes.
- 3
Open the result
The result card shows the details and links straight to the MyAnimeList entry.
Frequently asked questions
Are the scores and episode counts up to date?
Data is fetched live per session from MyAnimeList, so airing shows update as new information is published. Results also cache briefly so repeat spins stay fast.
Can I filter what appears on the anime backlog picker?
Yes. Below the wheel you can narrow the pool by genre, type (TV, movie, OVA), minimum score and airing status before you spin.
Does it work offline or on slow connections?
The wheel needs a connection for fresh data, but a bundled snapshot of popular titles keeps results loading even when the upstream database is slow or down.
